Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) – Alternate Income Form for Provision 2 Schools
The Local Control Funding Formula is a new method used by the State of California to calculate funding for schools. Additional money is available to support and strengthen academic programs and interventions for your child(ren). For your child(ren)’s school to receive these much needed funds, it is critical for you to complete an Alternate Income Form if your child(ren) attends any Provision 2 schools listed above. These funds may be used for such things as hiring more classroom teachers, providing additional tutoring, and purchasing more instructional materials for the classroom. The district will create an accountability plan that incorporates the details of how the new funds will be used.
The information you provide on the Alternate Income Form will be used solely to apply for state education funds. This is not a meal application and will not be used by cafeterias for the school breakfast and lunch programs. Please support our school in getting the most funding possible by returning the completed form to school with your child as soon as possible. Forms with missing information cannot be processed and will cause delays.
Additional Alternate Income Forms are available at your child’s school and the Nutrition Services Department. If you have questions or need help, please call the school office or Nutrition Services Department at (323) 887-7978.
Thank you very much for your support in providing the best educational opportunities for every child in our schools!
Suva unveils Healthy Nutrition Mural
The district-wide Nutrition and Art Tile Mural Project teaches students about the influence of food marketing, awareness of variety, and how to express their passion for a healthy school community through art. Students develop the confidence as creative artists and communicators by designing peer-delivered messages which have a greater meaning and relevance to their community. The murals seek to encourage children to make wise, nutritious decisions based on facts and awareness of the body’s needs.
